We exists to teach the young and those who pursue the true essence of Karate, not just for mere competition or physical fitness but for the holistic development of man, making him a better person, upright members of Shinkyokushinkai Philippines and respectable citizens of our society.
In 1997, Sensei Richard Picar started his training with Pure Energy Karate (Shotokan Style) under the supervision of Sensei Victor Canon. Then they shifted to Kyokushin Karate (Full Contact) in 1999 under the leadership of Sensei Steven Foo and focused in this style until the last

quarter of 2012. Sensei Richard formed a new group called New Generation Karate Philippines last May 14, 2012. This group was established to enhance basic self defense, discipline and respect. Since then the group commonly called NGK has been attracting students from different fields due to the good values being taught by their instructors. Karate has been included as a compulsory subject and as a special training program among different schools in Pasig City, Quezon City, Pasay City, Muntinlupa City and Cavite City. Last June 20-23, 2013, the group participated in the Malaysia Shinkyokushinkai Karate Championship and it is well known as World Karate Organization based in Japan. In view of this, Sensei Richard Picar being one of the delegates competed and won the 2nd runner up under the Senior Lightweight Category. After passing the Dan Test for Nidan, Sensei Richard Picar was approved as the Branch Chief of WKO Philippine by Shihan Kenji Midori, WKO founder and president of Shinkyokushinkai Karate.
